Just add dice and toy race cars!!
Add 1 or 2 dice and some toy race cars.... and you have a ready-to-go math center to use in your kindergarten classroom!
In this center activity, students will practice counting, number recognition, and number formation in a fun racing-based game!!
Students will work with a partner. Each student will choose a toy racecar and a color for their flags. On each turn, the student will roll the dice (you can decide if the students are going to play with 1 or 2 dice.)
They will count the dots on the dice and then drive their race car on that number. They will also put one of their flags on that number. Play will continue with students taking turns until one player gets his flags on every number. (You can also choose to play for a set period of time and whoever has the most numbers with their flags wins.)
Black-and-white racing number mats are also included, in case you want to save some ink!!
**As an extra bonus, I have included addition flash cards!! If your students have mastered playing the game with 2 dice, you might want to have them play with the numbers 1-10 and the addition flash cards, (Of course, you can also choose to just use the numbers through 5, or any other combination that works for your kiddos!!)
