The "All About Me" task card activity has two parts. For the first part, set up the task cards around the room and have the students fill in their answer sheets by rotating from card to card. It might help to set a timer to go off every 30-45 seconds. After the students have filled in their answer sheets, use the last two questions to make graphs as a class. Start putting up signs with the answers in different areas of the room. Have students move to whatever sign is true of them. Then, record how many students are at each sign. Have the students then return to their desks and make a graph on their worksheet with the class data. You can model this on the board. Repeat this for the next question.
"Beginning of the Year Rules..." is an activity that blends getting-to-know you activities with letting students practice HOW to work individually, with a partner, and with a group. It also reinforces class rules.
Great Cards are a way to encourage positive behavior in your classroom.
The one-page "Substitute Teacher Information Sheet" is the general information a teacher should know about the day, like when school starts and ends. It does NOT include any lesson plans for the substitute.
Binder covers include designs for attendance, grade, lesson plan, IEP, professional development, student contact info, substitute plan, and activity notebooks.
The files are PDFs in a zip file. Packet is appropriate for any grade and homeschool students.
