Are you teaching your state’s history? Begin by familiarizing your students with your state’s capital, flag, motto, and other symbols with this editable flip book.
Each and every state is represented. Choose your state, and print the cover and page 2 (see page 2 details in the preview). The cover includes a cartoon version of your state labeled with the state’s name.
Since each state has a map outline and a flag, Page 1 and 2 are the only pages that are NOT editable!
Page 2 includes an outline of your state, and it requires students to locate and label the state capital. Also, the state flag is provided for students to color appropriately.
In addition to the first and second page, you will find five additional pages for students to record their state’s symbols, mottos, and more. Each page is pre-formatted with symbol names such as the state bird, flower, fossil, fruit, insect, etc.
Since all states don’t have the same symbols, each and every page beyond page one and two are editable. If you need students to record a different symbol, simply change the name and print.
The seventh, and last page, was created for students to add additional symbols and/or facts that they find interesting about their state. This page is also editable for you to make changes as you see fit.
