I have put my heart and soul int this. I have used it for three years, updating it each year. This review has two medium length passages and one poem (and answer keys, of course). Each of the passages have 36 questions, and the poem has 26. I went back over the whole year's skills, English and Reading, and added a question for most skills to the stories. Some of the questions are not especially hard, but it refreshes students' memories on things they may not have heard in a while. Between the three reviews, the following things are covered: author's purpose, genre, story elements, prediction, text structure, summary, figurative language, affixes, text features, sound devices, facts/opinions, syllabication, main idea, synonyms/antonyms/homonyms, inference, sentence structure, commas, appositives, underline/italics or quotation marks, pronouns/antecedents, drawing conclusions, parts of a book, reference books, context clues, definitions, and first-hand account/second-hand account. This is an excellent review. It was originally made for fourth grade, but it could work for many grade levels. It can be printed off, pulled up on the interactive whiteboard, and/or used as homework. I have two more reviews that I will add soon that include these skills and a few more.
