This activity allows students to think about one state of matter changing into another. Along with thinking about it, they then have to put a story together and be specific enough to keep it to six frames. Once the story is approved by you, the students will design a cartoon based on their story. I have always used this activity with groups of 2,3 or 4 students. Hanging them in class after the activity is complete enables the students to view each other's cartoons and see additional examples of changes in the states of matter.
