This is a pack of 5 worksheets.
Sheet 1: Students describe solids, liquids and gases, draw their molecules, and provide examples of types of solids liquids and gases.
Sheet 2: Students match the titles of SOLID, LIQUID and GAS to their description, students complete a word chain showing how matter changes states.
Sheet 3: Students are given 3 pictures of different scientific changes (a kettle boiling, condensation forming on a cold glass and a coke can exploding). Students must explain why the change is occuring and draw the molecules before and after the change.
Sheet 4: Students are given an analogy about solids, liquids and gases, and must then think of their own analogy to describe the molecules and behaviour of the 3 states.
Sheet 5: Students decide if given scenarios are examples of physical or chemical changes, and whether the changes are reversible or irreversible.
