Review states of matter with your science students using this fun sketch note activity available as a worksheet or digital distance learning activity. Students will review characteristics, how particles move in phases of matter, and examples of the three states of matter; solid, liquid and gas. An additional page will review changes in temperature. Students will identify what happens to each phase during melting, freezing, evaporation, and condensation. Doodle sketch notes are the perfect way to review these concepts with your classroom because they allow your students to use both sides of their brain to complete the activity. This allows them to make stronger connections which will help them better retain and understand these important concepts in states of matter. To plan for remote learning, a Google Slide version of the sketch notes are also included.
