Product Description
Intermolecular forces, IMFs, Dispersion forces, dipole-dipole, hydrogen bonding, viscosity, surface tension, solubility

This set of 9 station activities will help your students construct explanations for "out of the classroom experiences" by using their knowledge of intermolecular forces. Students will investigate macroscopic properties such as surface tension, viscosity, solubility, etc. Guiding questions, as well as helpful descriptions at the beginning of each station set will allow your students to investigate intermolecular forces and the properties that result with ease. Great for allowing student to engage in the 3-dimensions of the NGSS!

Learning objectives: Your students will be able to…
•Construct explanations for phenomena by utilizing knowledge of IMFs and macroscopic properties such as surface tension, viscosity, solubility, etc.

Materials your students will need:
Goggles
Parafilm
Beakers of various sizes
Weigh dishes
Pennies
Paperclips
Glass slides
Stirring rod
25mL graduated cylinder
