These stations are a great way to review independent and dependent variables and how to write a testable questions. There are 4 stations. I've included an Teacher instruction page, The student page (back and front to fill in), Hand out needed at each station, and an option for matching cards.
Students will match fields of science (ie. biology, geology, astrophysics) with what they study. Then students will be required to write 4 sentences in the frame of: "A paleontologies would use a ____(tool)____ because ________"
Research 5 chemist and physics jobs in your home state, then write 3 class that either a chemist or physicist would need to take in college
Writing testable and measurable questions based on some problems int he world. They are given a list of problems (i.e. our water is polluted, my drink gets too warm in the sun to drink) and they must pick 5 to write a question for that could become an experiment.
Given the science scenarios students will determine the independent variable and dependent variable.
