This zip file contains an instructional PowerPoint showing students how to find the Mean, Median and Mode. An example page is provided for the students use during instruction. There are 3 examples on the handout all 3 examples are solved during the presentation. Example 3 has the students find the Mean, Median, and Mode from a line plot.
In this PowerPoint I have done a bit of stacking on the slides that transition out when necessary. I also use sounds as I've found it keeps the students more engaged.
Please note: When I have my student find the median, we find the half way point, we do not use the cross out method. When I have done that method in the past I found students had crossed out the data they needed for the upper and lower quartiles.
