Product Description
This project is great for the culmination of the 6th grade Statistics and Probability Common Core Standards. This project asks students to come up with a statistical question that they will ask 50 classmates (6.SP.1). Using this data students will create a dot plot (line plot) and a box plot (box and whisker plot) (6.SP.4). Students are asked to describe the shape of the data distribution (6.SP.2) and identify the mean, median, minimum, maximum, interquartile range, and best measure of center (6.SP.5). Students are then asked to summarize their findings. A 20 point rubric is attached for quick and easy grading.
