This Bundle consists of 4 lessons.
-First Lesson: identify the sample space, identify simple events, use the
Fundamental Counting Principle to find the number of ways two or more events
can occur, find the probability of a compliment of an event, and use a tree
diagram to find probabilities. Vocabulary is also incorporated into this lesson.
-Second Lesson: find the probability of an event given that another
event has already occurred (conditional probabilities). They will determine if
events are independent or dependent. They will use the multiplication rule to
calculate probabilities. Vocabulary is also incorporated into this lesson.
-Third Lesson: find probability of one event or another occurring. They will know
when to use the addition rule for mutually exclusive events and when to use the
general addition rule. The lesson includes key vocabulary and example
-Fourth and last lesson: find the number of ways a group of objects can be
arranged, They will find the number of ways to choose several objects from a
group when order matters (permutations) and when order does not matter
(combinations). They use counting principles to find probabilities.
These lessons are in the form of student guided notes with keys. They are appropriate for a high school statistics class or an introductory college statistics course.
Homework has been added for the first two lessons. More homework is coming.
