The Common Core standards in 7th grade Statistics and Probability are assessed in a variety of ways. In part one, students will be asked questions that require them to compute. In part two, students will be asked questions that require them to justify answers. In part three, students will be asked to apply their knowledge to answer real-world problems. In part four students will be asked to create a product that demonstrates their understanding of the standard.

This product will help your students develop a deep and rich understanding of a 7th grade statistics and probability standards. The questions are challenging and creative, and will meet the needs of all level learners in your classroom.

- The compute questions require simple computation and a basic understanding of the skills.
- The justify questions require students to defend their answers using mathematical data or reasoning. Questions in the justify box look at common mistakes that are made, ensure that students understand the reasoning behind the math, and incorporate writing into the math classroom.
- The apply questions require students to use the skills that they have learned to answer real-life multiple step problems. Many of these questions will involve multiple skills, and will push students thinking beyond the basic computation.
- The create questions will push students to the ultimate level of application, in which they must use their understanding of the standards to develop their own products. Create questions are great for gifted learners, and students who enjoy being creative.

Page 1: 7.SP.A Understand that statistics can be used to gain information about a population by examining a sample of the population.
Page 2: 7.SP.B Informally asses the degree of visual overlap of two numerical data distributions with similar varabilities, measuring the difference between the centers by expressing it as a multiple of a measure of variability.
Page 3: 7.SP.C Understand that the probability of a chance event is a number between 0-1 that expresses the likelihood of the event occurring.
Page 4: 7.SP.C.6 Approximate the probability of a chance event by collecting data on the chance process that produces it and observing its long-run relative frequency, and predict the approximate relative frequency given the probability.
Page 5: 7.SP.C.7 Develop a probability model and use it to find probabilities of events
Page 6: 7.SP.C.8 Find probabilities of compound events using organized lists, tables, tree diagrams, and simulation.
