It is a reading that can be used all year round. However, I used it on the 28th of October, as it is the day of the statue. To introduce the reading, I showed the students some photos of the statue from different perspectives, as well as old photos where different parts of it where shown (feet, head, torch, etc.). Then, I also asked the questions included in the reading, and they answered them orally and in groups of 4/5.They had a lot of fun and learnt a lot about it. Plus, they were so motivated and suggested doing a project about icons in different countries.
