This is a fairly lengthy power point lecture for Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men designed to encompass an entire unit; certainly an instructor could choose to do only parts of it if that was preferred. I typically use this to accompany a set of discussion questions for which my students present mini-lessons for their classmates. The slides herein serve to drive home student answers and also allow me to fill in any areas that were not thoroughly covered by the student reports. Topics include the following: setting, theme, character, naturalism, and feminist analysis. Please refer to the preview of this item as it includes a list of those discussion questions to which I previously referred.
