Teacher Directions: I made this activity to prepare my Wilson Intervention students for the Step 5 post-test. Some words may fit into more than one category. First students are asked to read and mark up words and label syllable types (closed, open & VCe). Then they write each word in the appropriate box on their recording sheet. I make up extra recording sheets for those kids who have trouble fitting all the words in the boxes. I end this activity with having students read one set of words while the others check & correct their recording sheets.
