This set of basic katakana symbols and their romaji equivalents have been designed to brighten up boring stair wells and to help script recognition.
The cards are not limited to stair wells, however, as they can be used most effectively for classroom display too!
Another idea is that student pairs work together to match the cards as quickly as possible. A time keeper keeps a record of the time and a class challenge could be held. Which student pair can match the cards in the shortest time?!
