Comprehension is the next step after students learn the fundamentals of reading. This motivating series presents students with four levels of comprehension using a questioning approaching. Literal, inferential, evaluative, and appreciative levels of comprehension are all addressed as students work on theme-oriented activities. Within each level of comprehension, four types of questions are presented: detail, main idea, cause and effect, and sequencing. Includes a question guide to help teachers create a program that addresses the areas of comprehension that students need to practice.
