To help students learn the steps in the law making process I play this game in my civics class. I put the class in groups of 4. I then cut up the steps listed on page 2 and give each group an envelope with the steps of the law making process inside. They then put them in order as a group. I check to make sure they have the correct order and collect the envelopes. I then cut up the steps listed on pages 3 to 7, put them on boards, and leave them on the tray on the whiteboard turned around. Each group is timed as they put the bill making process in order. The correct order is listed on page 1. This is a follow-up activity to my "Step-by-Step- How a Bill Becomes a Law Project". I also include a question on the test where these step need to be put in order.
