This product was created to provide the students with another way of seeing the steps and an example of solving systems of equations using substitution. Often, some students in a class understand the method sooner than others. This booklet provides a level of scaffolding, and may be given to students seeing the method for the first time or to those that need to see the method/procedure multiple times before learning it.
The product includes 8 "pages" for the booklet on one sheet of paper. The pages are to be cut apart and stapled in order.
As an example for its use, a student may be given a booklet and a problem to solve by substitution. The student turns the page of the booklet, sees the instructions and example, and proceeds to solve the problem given to him/her, then turns the page, and so on.
