This is a foldable I created for my Sheltered Government class. We read about events leading up to the American Revolution and listed the events and dates on the timeline. Students were asked to summarize each event on the inside of each flap. After, students shared their summaries aloud.
Just print, cut around the perimeter, and fold in half hotdog style. Then make cuts on the lines after each timeline event to create flaps for the notes.
My students enjoy making and using foldables to take notes and they are able to use them to study by thinking about the topic and then opening the flap to self-check. We used this foldable as part of a lapbook. I'll be happy to email a picture of it to give you ideas (email@example.com)!! It would also be wonderful in an interactive notebook.
