Allow students to examine the Steps to the Industrial Revolution through this stepping graphic organizer activity. Allow students to work in pairs or small groups to investigate the shift from farming in open fields along rural villages to the hustle and bustle of factories in the ever-changing industrial cities.
Teaching suggestions are included, but my favorite implementation strategy is to create small groups where students can examine the reading and images together to discuss the source and the significance.
