Bilingual (French-English) Sticker Counting Math Centre FREEBIE! by Bilingual Mingle
Recently, I found a huge stash of stickers in my classroom. Being Kindergarteners, my students LOVE peeling and sticking them (on paper ... each other ... and so on!). I wanted to turn this into a more productive activity, so I created this simple sheet (in both English and French) to incorporate counting and writing into their play. They love peeling the stickers (which is a great way to improve fine motor muscles), sticking them, counting them, and then writing about them! They are learning to write numbers without reversals, copy words from a separate source, and sound out the words that they want to write. I hope that your students enjoy this resource as much as mine do!
This product is listed as a Math Centre activity, but it also incorporates writing skills, as the children write what kind of sticker they have used. It is ideal for your Pre-K/Kindergarten classroom as an hands-on Math AND Literacy Centre!
This Freebie is completely bilingual (French-English) and includes:
- a page of pictures demonstrating how I use this resource in my own classroom
- a sample page to demonstrate to students what their page could look like
- one English and one French printable, reproducible sheet for students to put stickers on (I printed mine on coloured paper for added effect!)
