Introduce students to the election of Hoover and the stock market crash in 1929. Students look at a chart of four main causes of the crash and pick the one they think was the most significant. Next, students read documents that each reflect one of the four main causes. Students have to identify which cause it represents and state why. Finally, students pick two of the main causes and have to explain what the cause was and why it led to the crash. Students complete an exit ticket where they have to write a paragraph explaining why two of the four causes led to the crash.
