Your students can learn how to invest and check the stock market using real-life data! Start the year with a lesson that teaches students what is a stock and how the market works. Then spend a math class each month checking your stocks.
Your students will work on skills including multiplication and addition of decimals (money) and analyzing data with their portfolios and researching companies. This is designed to be for grades 3-5, but of course can be used for older grades.
