You can choose to use this set of stock market task cards as real-world practice of place value or place value and percent change. There are 10 cards with 30 questions that ask students to work with place value to find total investments, the dollar amount of their investments if the stock price increases or decreases, and the dollar amount the investment changed. A second set of task cards asks these same questions and also the percent change of the investment after the increase or decrease. There are 40 total questions on this set. (You can see the difference in card 1 in the 2nd thumbnail image.)
Students find the cost of a given number of stock shares, the amount their investment will be worth is the share price increases or decreases, the dollar amount their investment changed and the percent change of their investment (if you choose to use this set of cards).
There are 10 task cards in this set. You can choose to give students the set of tasks with percent change questions (10 task cards with 4 questions each) or the set without the percent change questions (10 tasks with 3 questions each). Also includes an answer sheet and an answer key for each set.
