To understand the causes, events, effects, and implications of the Stono Rebellion.
Included in this review are four activities on the Stono Rebellion intended for four different learning levels.
First, there is a traditional powerpoint presentation where students may take notes and answer questions.
Second, the next activity sets up a scaffold for student notetaking with less reading.
Third, the powerpoint is then presented as a simulation activity for students. Students receive a slip which tells them what happened to them in the rebellion. Each student is asked to respond to the event.
Finally, two perspective readings are provided on the rebellion with critical questions.
After activities are provided, including 2 an exit slips, a set of Socratic Critical Questions, a set of questions for the two accounts, and a set of critical questions on the two accounts.
Answers are provided for each set of questions.
