This is a great self reflection strategy learners can use to identify for themselves how to start a task, and to monitor their own progress toward completion. This strategy is useful for those learners who simply do not know how or where to begin, but do have valuable ideas. Use a scaffold and structure to move along our learners towards independent work. Some teaches find it useful to duplicate this as a large sized anchor chart, while others minimize it to keep at the children's desk/work area, as their own structured tool. Both would be appropriate and useful.
