Also Includes: additional ideas for using the stoplight mat for segmenting practice and additional segmenting activity ideas.
Bonus Activity: real verses nonsense word chart and word list.
Uses: homework, whole or small group instruction, reading centers, extra time practice, morning work, etc.
Each student needs their own "stoplight" mat - you can laminate a class set for whole group instruction/practice or less for small group instruction/practice. You can also just slip the printed mat into a clear plastic slip cover.
Each student using the mat will need a dry erase marker and an eraser. (A cheap option for erasers is buying a pack of large socks and cutting them into 3-4 pieces each. Plus, they can be taken home, washed, and reused each year!)
Student Recording Sheet also available.
