I really like this resource because even though it is a primary source, it's a story - an excellent way for students to stay engaged.

I know how frustrating it can be for students when they receive large amounts of text to read, so I intentionally made this a one page reading! Whether you assign this as homework or do it together as a class, this is an excellent supplement to use in your class.
This download comes in a pdf format in US Letter Size (sorry for anyone that lives abroad! No A4 size with this purchase).
