As I did these projects several times each year, my students loved them and they came up with some very neat and interesting takes on various ideas. In the end, I would have them typed and printed in a 'magazine/booklet' form for them to keep. It became our own Legacy which a copy has been kept each year in the school library. It includes poems, short stories, recipes, etc.
There are sheets for simple, 8–Line poems. Not too hard for the middle school students, short stories of 250-500 words. Again, it's not hard. Then there are recipe sheets which should and could be from families, grandparents, etc. And finally a simple Knock, Knock joke sheet for students to have fun with.
I have always tried to inject "fun" in my classroom and my students have always done really well. I hope your students have as much fun as mine have.
This set include an 8 line poem, a short story sheet, a knock-knock joke sheet, and a recipe sheet.
