Pg. 20-22 Homophone Bubbles – use Stormy’s bubbles to write your spelling homophone pairs – use each spelling word in a sentence to show its meaning – there are three bubbles for matching three homophones when needed
Pg. 23-26 Homophone Soap Bubbles – a fun way to show your understanding of homophones – copy patterns onto appropriate colored paper – pick four homophones – write them on the white bubbles and use them in a sentence – glue the matching homophones on either side of a colored bubble – punch holes, attach string, hang from the ceiling or in the hall – see example
Pg. 27-29 Let’s Go On a Noun Hunt! – copy pages A and B back to back, fold on the solid line and cut on the dotted lines – search through the story “Stormalong” to find examples of singular nouns, plural nouns, common nouns, and proper nouns – write them under the flap – choose two nouns from under each flap and use them in sentences on the back of the paper – write them on the lines with the numbers that match the flaps
Pg. 30-39 Stormalong Character Traits – a writing and craft activity – fill out the paper about Stormalong – copy all the patterns onto the appropriate colored paper – put the craft together as seen in the example
