The following is a story details sorting activity. It contains 5 panels. There are panels for who/what, where, when, how, and why. The students are asked to cut the sentences from the sentence list out. Then, they must place them on the correct panel.
This simple activity will help your students to distinguish between the different story elements.
I recommend printing the panels off on cardstock and laminating them. This way you can use them over and over again. Next, you can either make copies of the sentences and distribute them to each of your students or you can laminate the sentences and cut them out yourself. You can then place them in a plastic bag and have your students to sort them.
