This resource is designed for reteach or for struggling learners. (It is too easy for 7th grade average learners.) When I teach story elements and Socratic Circle discussions, I often begin with fairy tales since they are often more accessible to all learners. I may read a brief version of The Three Little Pigs, for example, and then use that to teach or review Literary elements, e.g. characters, plot, etc., and to teach Socratic Circle discussion rules.
This resource is a basic matching game using "Snow White," the "Three Pigs, " and "Charlotte's Web," which the students have read in 5th grade. The cards contain Setting, Conflict, Characters, Climax and Resolution for these three stories, but they are mixed up. The students must cut out the cards and arrange them as a Topic-Down Web for me to Thumbs-Up.
