Looking for a fun way to practice identifying story elements? This pack gives your little writer and illustrators a perfect way to show what they have learned about a story.
In this story elements pack, students identify the setting, characters, problem and solution of a story they have read and create a book showing each part of the story. Students will write and draw each story element and will cut and put it in order. Students are then able to make a cute bear craft to go with. The bear looks like he is holding the book and peeking over it.
I had my students first create the book and had them complete one page at a time after discussing each story element. When each page was complete, I went around and stapled it for them at the very top creating a book. Students then were able to glue their book onto the cute and easy to make bear craft! All templates are included and are ready to print on cardstock and use as tracers.
In this pack:
-All pages are included to make the story elements book: cover page where students write their name, book title and author, and one page for each of the following story elements: setting, characters, problem and solution
-All tracers included to make each part of the bear for easy printing on cardstock for students to trace on construction paper
My students have loved this fun way to practice story elements and the bear looks great displayed up on a bulletin board for all to see the kiddos hard work!
