Story Ideas for Kids-Spanish
When it's time for brainstorming and planning stories, some kids first reaction is....."I don't know what to write!"
Too many students tend to write about the first idea that pops into their head when they write stories. Then you have half of your kids writing about the same things, and you get....de ja vu! I remember once when it snowed in South Texas for the first time ever on Christmas day. Two months later the kids were asked to write about something that happened that they will never forget. I heard that there were thousands of stories about the day it snowed and kids making snowmen and having snowball fights! Imagine having to read those stories.....over...and over...and over!
This poster is a great way to get away from that happening and jump start the planning process so that students can have some ideas already at their fingertips when responding to writing prompts. The poster is full of creative and unique places that kids can go in stories, in addition to events that could take place. I always tell people that it's not where you go, but what you do while you're there that makes stories interesting and exciting.
