Description

Wow your students with this unique story map! Students can write and draw about any fiction book selection. This stretch book has two options. Option A is a basic story map with characters, setting, main problem, events, and solution. Option B is the more advanced story map with characters, setting, conflict, rising actions, climax, falling actions, and resolution. Both options include sections for favorite part, book rating, and book reporter.

Stretch books are made by folding paper squares using an origami fold. Here is a video you may want to watch to get an idea of what a stretch book entails. My product includes detailed step-by-step photo illustrations that show how to assemble the book. Just print the pages, and you are ready to fold! I highly recommend that you fold and assemble your own stretch book before making them with students. The learning curve is well worth it in the end! :-)

If students are folding and assembling their own books, this product is appropriate for students in 4th grade and up. The stretch book could be used with younger students if it is pre-assembled or if you are working with a student one-on-one.

Happy S-T-R-E-T-C-H-I-N-G!

Chrissie Rissmiller :-)
