Book reports . . . Written reading responses . . . Dioramas . . . Sound familiar? Story maps are a great visualization tool and reading strategy to utilize with your students. Our students have said that the process of creating the story maps helped them remember important information and gave them a better understanding of what they've read. This lesson can be done with any short story or novel.
In addition to the video, the lesson also includes downloadable lesson plans (early ed - middle school), extended learning opportunities, and story map templates.
