Product Description
BUNDLE AND SAVE!!!! 330 page set!! On sale for $15 for a limited time. This set includes this product and 22 other story problem products! 11 Different Story Problem Types. Bought separately would cost $33.00!!

** All 15 pages are just as the preview. This pack is intended to teach the story problem type put together/take apart: missing addend , rather than a part-part-whole activity.

Common Core Standards require students to know how to solve many different types of word problems. This 15 page set is aligned with Common Core State Standards to teach Put Together/Take Apart- Addend Unknown numbers to 10 story problems. In my experience, students learn how to better solve each story problem type when first taught in isolation. Later, students will know when and how to solve each addition and subtraction situation.

In put together/take apart- addend unknown story problems, students solve for the missing addend or missing part.

Example: 7 cakes are on the table. 5 are chocolate and the rest are white. How many white cakes are on the table?

5 (part) + _____ (part) = 7 (whole) or 7 (whole) - 5 (part) = _____ (part)

Students are given the opportunity to show their thinking at a higher level by using a variety of ways to solve such as using a ten frame, number line, drawing a model and writing an equation.
