Fourth and Ten

This is a great activity for the first week of school for older kids! Begin this activity by reading either When Jo Lewis Won the Title or Chrysanthemum to the class, and have them take home the story of my name homework to complete with their families. Once the homework is completed, your students can write an informational paragraph about the story of their name. A prewriting organizer and a final copy paper with several different options for writing lines are included! Once the final copy of their paragraph is writen, students complete the accompanying craftivity. This makes for an ADORABLE bulletin board!
