PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

With this original readers' theater script created by My Reading Resources, students will be able to step into the shoes of the Framers of our United States Constitution. The script has 19 speaking parts with a F.K. reading level of 8.3. This was created by request as a play suitable for parents. Makes a great Constitution Day activity!

September 17 is Constitution Day. Each educational institution that receives Federal funds for a fiscal year is required to hold an educational program about the U.S. Constitution for its students. If you are a principal or administrator, this script can help you fulfill your requirement and engage students in reading at the same time. Due to "big words" and the more formal language of the time, the reading level is high, but with scaffolding, students at fifth grade and above can manage the reading. It is long, but could easily be edited for length by cutting some of the speaking parts.
