Repeat what was said (another student or teacher)

Add on to what someone repeated

Use hand signals instead of hand raising
* to add to something someone said put up two fingers
* to add something new put your thumb up
* use “I agree with you sign” put up three finger

New information makes me change what I think…

Pair share (let your students have time to talk to each other during a lesson)

Acknowledge the contributions of others (take time to let your students share ideas from others)

*These strategies are from many different sources which I used over the years. Introduce one at a time and practice before you introduce another one.
