This is a reminder of various ways to calm yourself. We taught the students each strategy, then placed this visual at our "Take a Break" spot in the room. This helped our students express their frustration, anxiety, anger, sadness, etc. in an appropriate way.
Note: Blow out the candles - you hold up ten fingers, and pretend to blow them out one by one, putting down each finger as you "blow it out". Smell the flower, blow out the candle - just a way to help them understand how to take deep breaths. Palm Push - the students push their hands together or fists if they prefer. It helps them release the energy in a safer manner.
