This unit was designed in accordance with 8th grade common core standards. It was based on the book Bad Boy; an autobiography of Walter Dean Meyrs.
This lesson was built on the preface of creating a high interest student run atmosphere where the students take control of their goals and expectations.
Included in unit:
-reciprocal learning templates and instructions on how to ask and answer interesting higher level questions (aka "thick" questions)
-22 argumentative prompts/ideas that focus on urban culture and challenges.
