Smartboard presents Blanche's speech on Stanley being a beast. Students are also given a handout of the speech and are asked to circle the imagery that gives Blanche's attitude towards Stanley. Individually they circle the imagery and then the teacher asks for examples of imagery on Smartboard speech. Students see the motif of bestiality . Then teacher says what is Blanche's attitude towards Stanley (tone)... Then, what would happen if Stanley overheard this speech? Teacher elicits responses.... setting up the scene to come.
