Recognize the effects of negative thoughts on stress level
Identify positive thoughts to reduce stress
Recognize that positive thoughts are a choice
Recognize the difference between situations in and out of their control
Recognize that they have complete control over thoughts
Learn to use feelings as clues to identify negative thoughts
Learn and practice the 4F questions strategy to challenge worries and reduce stress
Practice replacing negative thoughts with positive thoughts
Learn and practice deep breathing to reduce stress
Learn and practice being mindful to reduce stress
Learn and practice squeezing a fidget or muscles to reduce stress
Learn and practice visualization to reduce stress
Identify physical activities and exercise to reduce stress
Learn and practice journaling to reduce stress
Recognize how talking to an adult can help reduce stress and to identify trusted adults
Review coping strategies to reduce stress
Create own coping strategies booklet to refer to when feeling stressed
