It is no secret that teaching is a deeply rewarding journey that can also be extremely stressful. I have found that rather than packing up my things and racing out the door in a frenzy at the end of each day, I feel much better if I take just a few minutes to reflect on what went well and what I learned. There is also research to back this up. According to the Academy of Management Journal, workers report less stress when they engage in a few minutes of positive daily reflection in the evenings.
