These lessons (2 in total) can be taught to all students, especially those who may feel overwhelmed by various stresses and/or may display defiant behaviors. Students will be prompted to express their feelings about stress through various questions:
Students will recognize when they are becoming stressed, how stress can cause them to feel overwhelmed and how it can impact their lives. Students will be able to apply techniques in order to remain focused, stay calm, and grow from stressful experiences. The students will respond to personal situations and events in an appropriate manner through written and verbal expression.
