Description
Stretch It Out! {phoneme segmentation fun}
Thanks so much for viewing Stretch it out: Phoneme Segmentation Fun. Phoneme segmentation is a technique for building phonemic awareness in which students break words into sounds- - saying each sound separately as they stretch out the word. Ie. Teacher asks, “How many sounds are there in the word frog?” Students says, “/f/ /r/ /o/ /g/....4 sounds!”
Inside this packet you will find activities that incorporate phoneme segmentation in more of a “hands on” way. These activities can be used during small group time {guided reading, RTI} or place these activities into an independent practice {literacy centers} after students are comfortable with the purpose of each!
-Inside the packet you will get 6 different phoneme segmentation activities! View the preview to see each activity and watch the activities in action HERE!
This packet is part of my Guided Reading Mega Bundle
