This is a strategy that I use with my class when we first begin stretching out words. They LOVE the bubble gum idea!
This is a huge pack with tons of great materials that can be used in lots of different ways during your short vowel instruction or review!
* CVC word building mats and bubble gum word strips (used with letter tiles, magnetic letters, et)
*Bubble Gum CVC word booklets to record words- 3 different pages
*Bubble Gum Roll, Read, Race Game boards- 6 game boards (a,e,i,o,u, mixed vowels) & recording Sheet
For each Vowel (a, e, i, o, u)
*Word family picture card and word cards to sort (ideal for pocket chart)
*Stretch it out word cards-(students can point to bubble gum or use pla-doh balls and students smoosh the play-doh as they stretch out the word)
*Short Vowel picture/write worksheets
*Write the room (5 interchangeable recording sheets)
*Spin and Stretch- Spin beginning sound and word family- write the word and stamp the word recording sheets
*Speed Read short vowel strips
